As important as the small business market may be, it has typically been underserved with respect to banking services. We believe the essence of the problem was best articulated by one of our survey participants who said, “Managing my money on the go is very important for a small business CEO who wears many hats, including CFO.”
The financial tools, technology, infrastructure and banking services that medium and large-sized companies take for granted are luxuries to the small business owner. Although we cannot change the fact that entrepreneurs will always struggle with limited resources – and will always need to wear many hats – we believe that we can design a new banking platform that has the potential to make their businesses more efficient – and perhaps
make their lives a bit easier.
